Peter Shoneye is a Black poet, novelist, songwriter, media composer, photographer, and creative producer whose work spans literature, music, and visual storytelling. He is the founder of Keystrum Productions, Inc., a Massachusetts-based creative company whose work includes original music, synchronization licensing, and multidisciplinary artistic projects.

 

His creative journey began in music, where resilience became his defining instrument. After reimagining the way he played piano, Peter built a career rooted in persistence, emotional storytelling, and artistic independence. His score for the short film Cataplexy (2011) earned soundtrack recognition in 2015, and his compositions have since appeared across film, television, digital media, and independent productions.

 

Known throughout the writing community as The Black Poet™, Peter’s poetry explores memory, identity, love, longing, and the quiet spaces where human connection is forged. His photography extends that same philosophy through portraits and architectural imagery that emphasize atmosphere, emotion, and restraint.

 

His literary work continues that evolution. Peter is the author of Days After the Storm and Quiet Fire ©️, a completed psychological noir romantic thriller that marks the next chapter of his storytelling career. Through Lucia and Elias, Quiet Fire explores institutional power, memory, desire, and the enduring resilience of the human spirit.
