The blues. The rhythm. The soul.

Peter Shoneye is an independent singer-songwriter and producer whose contemporary Soul-Blues meets R&B through storytelling, rhythm, and the conversation between voice and guitar.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, and based in the United States, Shoneye writes from human experience—desire, love, loss, memory, resilience, and the complicated spaces between them. His music is intimate without becoming fragile, cinematic without losing its humanity, and rooted in the emotional language of the blues.

Rather than building projects around a collection of isolated songs, Shoneye approaches each release as emotional architecture. Three or four songs can become one complete story, with each track carrying the listener into the next and every instrument serving the narrative.

His latest release, Drowning In You ©️, brings that philosophy into contemporary Soul-Blues. Across three tracks—You Held Me Close ©️, You’re My Sunshine ©️, and Here I Come Again ©️—expressive guitar, rhythmic vocal phrasing, and restrained production create a continuous conversation between words and sound.

The Guitar is not simply accompaniment. It answers the voice, interrupts when necessary, carries what the lyric leaves unsaid, and knows when silence is more powerful than another note.

A graduate of Full Sail University with a B.S. in Music Production, Shoneye’s training included music synchronization for film and led to work connected with Furious 7. That background continues to shape his attention to atmosphere, pacing, arrangement, and the relationship between music and image.

Through KEYSTRUM Productions, Inc., Shoneye maintains creative control across songwriting, arrangement, production, and the development of his projects. His records favor intention over excess: expressive guitar, rhythmic movement, carefully placed percussion, space, and a vocal performance allowed to remain human.

At the core of his work is a simple belief: a song does not need to say everything. Sometimes the voice tells the story. Sometimes the Guitar answers.

And sometimes the silence finishes it.
